The Haven provides adults - especially veterans and justice-involved adults - with supervised, independent housing in Milwaukee, a place to stand on their own again, surrounded by community instead of case files.
The organization exists because housing systems, reentry systems, and service systems too often treat adults in transition as problems to be managed instead of people to be reintegrated.

Founder / Executive Director
Alissa M. Gray
Alissa M. Gray, also known as Lisa Gray, is a justice-system and human-services professional with experience serving Milwaukee County across multiple frontline roles.
Her background includes work in correctional institutions supporting secure operations and structured behavioral management, work with the Department of Veterans Affairs assisting veterans with mental-health needs, and service as an Income Maintenance Specialist helping individuals access Medicaid, FoodShare, and other essential public-assistance programs.
Lisa also previously owned and operated a Prenatal Care Coordination business that supported under-privileged women in Milwaukee County by connecting them to medical care, transportation, housing resources, and education to promote healthy pregnancies and stable family outcomes.
Across every role, Lisa’s work has centered on practical support, accountability, and direct service to people navigating high-stress or transitional periods. Through The Haven Reintegration Home, she remains committed to strengthening stability, access, and community wellbeing for adults in transition, especially veterans and justice-involved adults.
